Website copywriter. Mommy. Lover of zombies.
I hate writing bios for myself. Other people’s biographies are so much easier to write than your own.
I’m 33 years old. I’m married to a man who is probably only putting up with me because he has to, and I have the most amazing kid ever. I’m constantly amazed that he’s mine and he’s still so cool because let’s face it, I’m a dork.
I wanted to be a high school English teacher from the time I was old enough to spell until I graduated college in 2010 when I realized that I don’t have the patience to put up with 30 teenagers who all think they know everything. This is mainly because I still think (as I did when I was a teenager myself) that I know everything.
I like to think I have a good sense of humor. I crack myself up regularly and assume other people are laughing with me, not at me, though I could be wrong. I’m sarcastic and cynical and stubborn as hell.
I enjoy my life tremendously, but on occasion must be reminded that I shouldn’t take it so seriously. Sometimes I sweat the small stuff. Sometimes I make mountains out of molehills. I’m making an honest effort to chill the eff out. I hope it’s working.
I’m a website copywriter, marketing consultant, and social media manager. I came into the profession(s) accidentally, but I enjoy the new, exciting challenges it throws my way. I love the variety in topics and I enjoy working from home so I can hang out with Kiddo and keep the house (reasonably) clean. It also gives me an excuse to spend a ridiculous amount of time on Facebook and Twitter. And honestly, who wouldn’t love a job you can do in your underwear?
I like cats, music, and books. If you want to know something else, feel free to ask. I might tell you it’s none of your damn business, but I might answer the question.
